Not much has changed since then. What has changed I think is Lorde herself and how she deals with her fame and her public. I think the SP was very formative for her, to be confronted for the first time. Discussion about SP is exactly what this new album will be (mostly) about. Take a look at the lyrics from the snippet. The so confusing remix i think showed a much more mature Lorde and an artist that is able to see herself critically as a public person

L4 sessions started in 2022 so they were actually but she did confirm they were just throwaways and said she doesn't think they're that good.

No one could ever make think that an album with Helen of Troy, The Path, Stoned, MR, TMWTA, Hold no Grudge, Secrets, FF, California, and Oceanic Feeling is bad. Sorry it's just impossible

 

The way the bit from 3:10 'til the end slaps. It's a golden necklace on tanned skin, it's fresh-cut grass, it's an empty beach at the peak of July

 

I'm sorry, but broke ******* cannot relate – nor understand the depths of Solar Power.

I love that all her albums are not only aesthetically/sonically very distinct but also very VOCALLY distinct as well. Her voice is so light on Solar Power to match the vibe of the album, then very emotional on Melodrama, then very angry on Pure Heroine like i barely know artists who do that with their discography
