This one is actually good. It didn't smash because Nicki waited too long to release it as a single.

When You Believe really is such a massive dud for what Mariah/Whitney could've been capable of especially at *that time* when they were putting out some of their best work. "Heartbreak Hotel" alone is a miles better female collab Whitney dropped that era.

There's a reason why it practically flopped at the time and is also not that widely regarded today.

The song was one of the top selling singles of 1998/99 in Europe.

It sold 1,5 million in the US too.

Two things stalled its success

1) limited radio airplay in the US

2) it appeared on 4 different formats: Mariah's album, Whitney's album, the soundtrack of the movie and the physical single.

Mariah's album sold 17 million copies globally, Whitney's sold 12 million and the soundtrack did around 1,5 million.

And yet the song went on to sell 3 million globally on its own...

Hey Girl

Feeling Myself

Slow Clap

All horrible indeed

And theres this song featuring pure khias and Cardi B that's also awful but I can't remember it's name + artists involved

I have the theory artists put less effort on collabs than in regular songs

Don't call me Angel is such a good song. Will not understand the hate

Pretty Girls
