The original version with just Cameo featuring in it is pop perfection, the only best rap verse in the remix is Da Brat's JLo diss. If she wanted to include rappers it should have been Missy, Da Brat or Lil Kim.

The Cameo version is the lead single and the remix was included on the single cd and the album track list. 
 

The Firecracker sample version was the original version that was scrapped when JLo and Mottola did their thing. It was released on The Rarities (2020), but I prefer Cameo version by a lot. 

I am addicted to the Rap version. 

 

Also, the Cameo sample is much better than the other one (as stated already).

Yes, it is true. Currently Glitter has 4 tracks in Mariah's daily top 100 biggest songs on Spotify: Lead The Way, Never Too Far and both Loverboy versions.

 

Also, Glitter is currently outstreaming Caution - Mariah's latest studio album from 2018 - by 2:1. 

 

Glitter was originally released in 2001. Mariah bought the masters either right after her contract with Virgin was bought out (2002) or since 2005. Glitter experienced a resurgence campaign on social media in 2018, resulting in it peaking at #1 on global Itunes charts. In 2018 the album returned to the Top Albums sales chart, selling over 4k in the US in two respective weeks. 

 

It took Mariah a further 2 years to finally put the album on Spotify. In 2020 Glitter was released to streaming services. 

 

A few days ago, Glitter has surpassed 30 million total streams on the platform. In 2025, the album has been getting an average of 25k daily streams so far and is her biggest increasing album by percentage gains.
