From what I read he was never scouted or was in YG. He was a KPLUS model under YG but not managed by YG, then when YG & KPLUS splited (KPLUS dropped the YG and fired a bunch of musical and actor trainees), while some went to YG, YGX or TBL.

The only one who actually was scouted by Yang Hyun Suk team and was on YG roaster was VINII aka Kwon HyunBin

 

He even had songs with BABYMONSTER pre-debut members but were never released and left the company.

GD is not a dog abuser. GD left his dog in the care of his family who abused him. Put yourself in his shoes. If he gave Gaho up, being as famous as he is the dog would have ended up in the hands of sasaengs or worse. It's a terrible situation but GD was trying to do the right thing in the first place by giving up an animal which he couldn't take care of due to his lifestyle, to people he trusted. It's tragic how it ended up playing out.

 

 

GD is not without flaws and scandals in his past but a lot of the "scandals" that follow him in the west were either made up or blown completely out of proportion by HYBE pr. He's not responsible for an animal which he legally had no ownership of anymore.

 

Also if outselling Lady Gaga and Jennie Kim is a flop you need to reevaluate your metrics.

If they're doing an apple partnership and an English version in the same day, they're probably trying to build hype outside of Korea. They don't really need any kind of teasing to smash domestically now but this is kind of normal for artists hoping for TikTok popularity in the west.
