There's a law that after training a certain amount of time, trainees are legally owed a debut. As far as I can tell, these quick little child groups are a workaround, as are the foreign collab groups and new training centers outside of Korea.

newjeans' music sounds "mature" though (in the way that it doesn't sound like music for otaku) so even if they were young the GP could enjoy the music. idk who these companies are targeting  no wonder they're bombing into oblivion. it's so corny

the difference is that YG isn't just "teasing" a random trainee. she's legit member #1 and he really is gonna debut them this year most likely
