Mia and Yiren both leaving EVERGLOW is wild, especially since they were arguably the two most prominent and heavily pushed members in the group.

 

Mia leaving EVERGLOW is like Nicole leaving the Pussycat Dolls basically  She was such a central figure, honestly, the face and brand of EVERGLOW. It's hard to imagine the group without her. She consistently had the most lines, screen time, and center parts, to the point where she's known as the most "payola'd" idol within a group in K-pop history. There are EVERGLOW songs that practically feel like Mia solo songs because of how many lines she has. So if the remaining members continue performing their OT6 discography without her, it'll feel more like they're covering those songs than performing their own songs.

Maybe Mia realized that she wouldn''t be getting the same payola YUEHUA used to give her in their new company, so she dipped and will stick to having a solo career like she used to have within EVERGLOW's discography when they were under Yuehua. 

As much as I'm rooting for the remaining 4 members, I also have to be realistic, I don't see them having more than 1 release before they eventually go their separate ways and disband.

If Everglow could've gone on with Yiren and without Mia, replacing her with pop magic, I'd give them a chance at restarting their career as they would have solved their second biggest problem which is the least interesting member taking up too much focus as their best performer.  But no Yiren, no chance.
