I've seen Gaga's touring contracts(there was a huge leak from her law firm during Chromatica), it's standard practice for major multi-tour Live Nation contracts to mandate new music out for a major tour. It's more than likely that this comeback is a formality that the pinks don't want to do. The tour is literally called deadline as well.

 

Take it from a stan of multiple groups past their original contract period with soloists who are just as/more popular than the group,  y'all just need to appreciate what you get, savor this moment, and throw your full support at the group if you ever want to see them again.
