LMAO what. Khalid hasn't had a hit since 2019 with Talk and you're completely discounting Normani's career with 5H. It's laughable if you actually believe he's eclipsing her or anything. Neither are household names.

Tried it with the "random female" line lol.  Whether intentional or not. Ayra  Starr is probably doing better in global streams than Khalid's new music atm, so the collab is most definitely mutually beneficial.

 

At the same time, I don't like messy rollouts. The Mani song sounds great and their existing history gives it a natural wave of buzz. Dropping another song at the same time, IMO, allows for the potential for one to cancel out the other. Or splitting the attention in such a way that neither flourishes. 

 

Total conjecture, but wondering aloud if maybe they are all going on tour together. It's the one thing that would make this make a bit more sense.

I wonder if this is some type of collab ep or if he's going to add all of these songs to his album.

 

 

I can see why some ppl think Personal is underwhelming but it sounds very catchy and viby to me. I think some people are prematurely comparing it to Love Lies when no one knew for sure that song would be a smash hit. Let things play out.
