she wants the song of the summer?

She said in her Rolling Stone interview that she had almost completed an album in 2023, before she shelved that, to make 'un mechón de pelo', as an outcome of her mental health and personal struggles at the time. She continued making it through her 2023 tour until early 2024. Album was released in April 2024; was very against the grain in terms of her commercial-sounding music.

 

What she is teasing and referring to is likely the album that was "meant" to initially be her fifth album. There were rumors and reports of a couple of collaborations (Young Miko, Kenia Os, Ludmilla) on that one. She said in her phone call on the podcast Rumis that there's less time pending for it; it's approaching.

 

Update (Nov 22):

 

 

Her official website was finally updated after YEARS of it being left as its 2018 version.

 

It contains a countdown to December 5, with the first preview coming out on November 29!

Tbh, it's not like anyone is pretending or claiming she's a big superstar in the US. She performed her first set of US shows last November and performed at SNL, TV shows, etc. for We Pray.

She definitely can, and is getting bigger I would say actually. But idk where is she lacking (or not) that is still kind of acting as a barrier for her from happening in the US and anglosphere

Idk why but the campaign feels like its different.

I honestly dont know. But it feels extremely exciting. I don't think she has ever seemed this passionate about a release of hers before.

 

She literally kept it all under wraps and had the rollout extremely planned out. And after Un Mechon De Pelo being a nice detour, i'm excited for a proper era to start.

If this is a banger she'll be the main contender for song of the summer in Arg.
