I'm kinda happy for her that this song is getting some traction, but it just means there's even less incentive for her to record new music. This album will be two years old in February and we haven't even got a deluxe. All we got was one standalone single which was teased for ages and then seemingly forgotten after release.

 

She fought so long to release music and now she's free to do so she won't

Did she say a month or so ago that her stuff got stolen from her car and all the stuff she wrote for the new album went with it.

So I take "Oscar Winning Tears" smashing the charts as a f*ck you to the universe and allowing her more time to restart her writing for the 2nd album.

yeah I think the long wait for album no.2 will probably (temporarily) hurt her in the long run with how fast paced the industry is, because by the sounds of it we prob won't be getting that until 2026 atp but at the same time she really seems to be going old school with her career strategy of dropping the debut album and then touring it around the globe for the following 2 years which is impressive and almost needed for new artists who don't invest / have that buildup anymore. We all know she could probably cook up an album in a month so I'm not too worried but it's also really which depending on which direction she wants to take it. Then again I also wouldn't be shocked if she decides to start mimicking an Adele-esque release schedule which in that case... good luck babe
