She ran to them for streaming hits which left a bitter taste in my mouth. It feels like she's using them. I have a complicated relationship with Sev. I own all her releases on vinyl but the more I know her the more I dislike her. 

 

Some of my faves are from LatAm like Natalia Lafourcade, Javiera Mena, Kali, Chancha Via Circuito, DJ Florentino, Isabella Lovestory and Lido Pimienta...

I actually only got to know her because of Alibi and I'm going through some of her discography now. What do you recommend? Where should I start?

I would start with her sophomore album Shabrang because it's kind of her peak and very diverse. If you enjoyed that go back to her debut album ISON and if you're still vibing check out her EP's in random order, doesn't really matter. Enjoy!

A biT less annoying, I'll give you that. Something happens to our girls when they are pregnant or new moms cause now Kali is insufferable on social media.

I liked it for a day then never used it again. 
 

It's clear as day she's trying to have a MOTOMAMI moment / era but it's not hitting the same.

She always showed love to Latam, specially Brazil.  She even re-recorded her song Human in brazilian portuguese back in the day. Sure her sound is more commercial now but I don't think she's just using these artists to score cute hits, it does seem like she appreciates Latam music.
