I never understood why people got so angry over that statement. I mean... she didn't lie.  Mariah hasn't had a hit since 2008.

Its NOT about having a hit, its about making good songs. Mariah was still releasing fantastic music when Katy was having huge hits. Triumphant, You Are Mine, #Beautiful, Faded are all better than anything Dr Luke has released. At least Mariah is a songwriter, Katy is not. She writes her hits and her flops but the quality remains the same

It was her 14th album. She has already dozens of hit songs/albums. + #beautiful was a major hit idk what you are talking about

#Beautiful was not a major hit, and I never said she doesn't have hit songs or albums. She has many... up until 2008. Her last non-Christmas hit is Touch My Body. Be for real now.
