I still enjoy it, but I don't think anyone around me remember this song at all.

It was a top 10 hit and I remember it but don't think about it at all.

In the US, it was skyrocketed from 94 to 3, setting record for the largest upward movement in the history of the Hot 100. The song peaked at 2 in Canada.

 

The song went no.1 in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Switzerland. I would say the song was huge in both continents 

it's still on heavy rotations in the clubs here in the UK for some reason

It definitely was bigger in Europe. Despite peaking at #3 in the US, it had rather poor longevity and was only the 62nd biggest hit of 2007. Whereas in Europe it was in the top 30 year-end in many markets.

I clicked on this thread expecting everyone to be like yes it was a mammoth hit but only just learning maybe it was only big for us in Europe 

 

I'd say it's low-key one of Beyonce and Shakira's most remembered hits in the UK
