I said this after WW but I'll say it again, releasing this album is massive mistake. I hate the fact that we live in era where albums are made on vinyl probably before they are even announced, because if they weren't I'm sure era would've been scrapped.

 

It will only damage her even more, not one good thing will come from releasing this album.

Time goes by quickly. Reminder we still have VMAS to hold us down for the next weeks. Post album will be nice with Rock In Rio and the show in Australia. I hope she does a tour announcement before the album drops to build up some more hype.

Anyway why aren't they moving? She did radio interviews but there's no song for them to play. Either release Gimme Gimme as another promo single and hope by some miracle it becomes a mini Dark Horse on its own or release the 2nd official single with playlisting push and immediate radio impact.

 

Waiting for the VMAs medley to decide the next single is not smart it's too far away, they need to have an active radio single when the album drops. Don't repeat the same mistake they did with Smile

You're right. There are a lot of big events to witness and I can't wait! I'm just a little sad about the negative reception, I'd have been super happy if all of this had happened at a better time for her and for us as fans. She and we deserve to live a celebrated era.

I like how Crush sounds but everything on this is so repetitive which is not that bad… but maybe her team is not well focused, this type of music won't to do anything in the US (let alone with Katy's name on it), maybe she should do a bar promo tour in Europe or so…

 

We already have that basic songs but at least try to make digestible, idk

Tbf I think the VMAs could and will help, but if they scheduled the release of the album on September because of that, then they're not very insightful which ofc isn't something new

Obviously, looking back at her previews era or two... She obviously thought chasing trends, releasing sterile generic music produced by certain man would be certified success. She hasn't really thought about anything other than relying on him, she thought 'Katy reuniting with Luke' would bring so much nostalgia and success. And it was probably the only thing she thought about.

how can you even be mad at her for thinking that? I mean she took some risks with Witness and it didn't pay off of course she would go back to the one who brought her success I don't blame her for working with Luke 

This whole album and era just absolutely no demand for not only it but for her, the single doing less numbers than songs from some of her peers from her day that weren't even singles from years ago just wow. Gaga truly ended and erased her with just practically one swipe lmaoooo
