A TikTok that I just saw made me realize that a lot of pop girls digitally remove their armpits in their album/magazine covers.

From now on I will never be able to stop noticing that :skull:

    the older i get the weirder i find these overly edited photos. the sabrina one does weird me out, it's uncanny

    Because of the expectation imposed on women that they must remain completely hairless. Any shadow/discoloration or a stray hair would ruin the whole shot

     

    I think it's also why they always wear nude fishnets (or several pairs of tights) to make the legs appear shiny and smooth
