Haven't heard the song but seems like 90% of Stan twitter has and has for like a year + now  does she not have new music she thinks is on par or better lined up? Something is screaming career mismanagement lately

Subway has been an unreleased song she's been performing in concerts for the longest time by now, and has garnered enough praise and media attention for people to demand she promote it as a single. It was all over 'The Giver' thread where everyone was saying she should have made Subway the single instead of TG

I feel The Giver was a (very) soft hit for her with local Americans. She also still had PPC smashing. I don't think any momentum was lost. The only thing I worry about w this song is its kind of more alt sounding imo, which could go either way in this environment

The Giver was a follow up to PPC being a hit

The Subway is a follow up to Good Luck Babe being a SMASH!

Also I think the title can be changed to "The Subway", when she performed it at Primavera Sound a few weeks ago she introduced it as The Subway

Hopefully she leaves The Giver off her second album, Subway here we come

A huge shame for GLB!  

In the lyric video for The Giver she hinted at a few droplets, The Subway being one. I don't think this will be a lead single, but a series of individual singles that don't fit on a larger project.

I doubt that. Her label isn't gonna let her not put GLB on an album and she shouldn't want to either  The Giver, we're okay without that one
