i mean her debut album became a unexpected sleeper hit, what were they supposed to do? just waste all the potential and move onto the next album when the debut is taking off like crazy? 

 

i prefer the new singles coming out now.

Again what is there to turn around? The perception of where she's at career wise in here is so pessimistic  She even launched The Giver into the top 5 with no video or week-of performances.

The Giver was a BIG underperformance, no matter the peak. Only charted for 8 weeks on HOT 100 thanks to airplay and 6 weeks on Global 200. 

i'm rooting for her but she needs to come harder. I think this song is the one.

i hope this is giving GLB vocal mixing and producton, and not the shitter.

I'm sorry but I just don't agree  It was a tester/promotional track and did more than enough for what it was. It doesn't help that PPC was still smashing at the time, either.

Smash is a big word for a song local to four English speaking countries. The Giver is def a flop for her first song after Good Luck Babe's smashery. 

 

Good riddance though, it's by far her worst song.
