The minute it crosses 200M streams Dua is adding it to Radical Optimism: Marshall Mathers Reloaded: The Re-Up

A bop and MUCH better than the other song with the same name:WAP::WAP:

The praises here LOL

You gays really need to do better regarding female artists

Imagine if a female released a song with the same name of another song less than a year after

Girl you're worked up about something that such a non-issue. Artists have songs with the same titles all the time. News flash: no single artist owns words. Do you think Dua cares half as much about this as you do?

but he's saying those things on his records that are listened to by milions of people who then, due to idolising him, incorporate his words and views into their point of view and thought landscape

Ive been listening to him since i was 10. And that didn't happen to me. Yes a lot of his fan base take his lyrics as gospel. That doesnt make it eminems problem. He never claimed to be a role model. In fact, he denounced the narrative that him and every other celeb should be idolized. He does his job and raised his own kids (well i might add) and thats his responsibility, not the entire universe at large

If a pop girld had donde this it would be Billie vs Taylor all over again.

Fan bases are dumb

Your personal experience does not become nor constitute a representation of other people and their ways of assimilating and digesting information

Because apparently he is "old". The jokes write themselves at this point. He can't talk about "cancel culture" because that's an "old people" thing.

Make it make sense? :rip:

There wasn’t a single interesting or fresh idea in the song. Just rehashed grievances. He’s like the Bill Maher of rap at this point. That’s what makes him out of touch.

Nostalgic and camp AF. Especially the video. I personally prefer darker and angrier Em but this was a cute Lil Bop. King. :clap3:

The same thing was said about him by some people when he released Without me, Just lose it, The real slim shady, We made you etc. I guess you're not a fan of his music then?

In a much sensitive and hypocritical world. Eminem's contribution is more needed than ever. Rap fans of this Generation will appreciate this. Some good old comedic truth and liners to offend some people whilst cancelling himself so you won't have to. His genius knows no boundaries.

Most of those were released more than two decades ago, in a completely different climate where Eminem’s insult comic rap was genuinely shocking and new. By “We Made You,” it was already starting to feel stale, so it was nice to see him try some introspection for a while. Now he’s back to his old tricks here, but it’s ground that’s already been covered to death. Add in the obvious nostalgia bait of sampling “Without Me” and, yeah, it just seems lazy to me. Hopefully he’s got something better up his sleeve next.

It's catchy and the video is engaging lol, even if it's the same old tired complaints about current society. Also, the nostalgia bait kinda worked for me. People don't do elaborate videos like this anymore.

It's super catchy but for the so called lyrical genius there's not a single interesting thing being said here. The Megan line serves no point and the whole "cancel culture" talk is giving MAGA. It's not clever or funny enough to be like the original Slim Shady.

the megan line

several of these lines also being homophobic

I cant :deadbanana2:

As someone gay I dont see any of his bars as homophobic at all but then again he can call me a F to my face and wouldnt care because I 100% believe he just does it to make people mad.

hes too old to be doing that mv

Imagine if someone said that about beyonce.. its only fine to call guys old right?

In relation to the topics and themes he uses to joke around:

My transgender cat's Siamese (Why?)
Identifies as black, but acts Chinese (Haha)

Go ahead, Paul, quit, snake-ass prick
You male cross dresser (Haha), fake-ass *****
And I'll probably get **** for that (Watch)
But you can all suck my dick, in fact

Stuff like that is neither funny or smart, just in poor taste. Not to mention the Megan line, I bet he throught he was smart with that when in reality it just gives most a grimace.

He is poking fun at his old self with the bridge and that would actually be pretty fun if he really changed as a person and grew past writing bars like that for controversy (that isn't shocking anyone in 2024), but he hasn't.

I thought this **** was hilarious, it is funny and 95% of people will find it funny.  Whats even more funny though is how people get so pressed.

Love yourself chile

Gagging that people are still letting themselves get offended by Eminem. He's literally been trolling everyone since 1999 :rip:

This tries so hard to be edgy, but it's just not hitting. I don't care about him being "problematic" or whatever, but the bars have to provoke something. Even the Megan joke is old news at this point. He's like those Netflix comedians who can't land a joke and then go "Ha, are you OfFeNdEd???".

It's catchy tho, and his flow sounds way better here than on his past few albums.

He is very anti trump so comparing him to maga is quite funny.
