I genuinely am surprised, I always thought Charli XCX was the bigger artist, especially since she has had multiple top 10 hits and even a multi week #1, while Troye has never hit the top 10 (idk his peak, has he even gotten a top 40?).

 

Charli currently has 11.8m listeners on Spotify. Troye has 24.8, more than double . 

 

Charli has 3 songs with 500m+ streams, all features.

Out out - 500m

 

Troye has 5, 3 of them solo

Im so tired - 800m

Charli highest daily stream is 800k, but then the next is 200k. Both features. 

 

Troyes highest daily stram is 500k, but he has 5 songs going above Charli's 2nd most streamed. And all of his are solo.

Troye is also doing slightly better than Lil Nas X, which again is really surprising to me. 

 

Lnx has 25.3m listeners, slightly more than Troye with 24.8.

 

But Troye highest daily steam is above 500k, Nas is below. 

 

The combined total of Troyes top 5 daily stream songs is 1.9m, while lil Nas X is 1.7m. So surprising since Lil Nas X has multiple billion streamed #1 smashes, while Troye has none.

i'm not that surprised? out here his album did pretty well, i think all the singles were hits whereas charli rarely breaks about #25, she's just more of a name. ofc both remain icons 

Your only metric is Spotify. Bigger artist on Spotify doesn't necessarily mean bigger artist overall. Besides Troye having more than double Charli's Monthly Listeners doesn't mean much when he only has 200k more daily streams (3.1m vs 3.3m). 

 

Love Troye but I Love It and Fancy are kinda bigger than his career.

Troye makes more palatable (and better) music so no. Charli is only hyped up by niche gay circles

Charli won in quality and no shade but he's still a flop. It's hardly a flex

they're both huge outside of the mainstream, and they have some overlapping audiences (like me) but for the most part i'd say troye appeals to normies more than ms. x charlotte x

Both are very fan base reliant, but Troye's most recent "viral" song (Rush) and his most recent album are more recent than Charli's, things might swap when BRAT is out.

Troye has multiple hit eras under his belt idk why this site treats him like a niche artist
