Based on Warner's statements and Dua's own vision, I think she has a pretty strong say in the music process and a great artistic input post-FN. I think Radical Optimism is pure Dua and her doing what she wants. So if you don't like it that's totally fine, but I love it and I especially love that she's doing what she wants to do. That's what makes good music to me. The moment an artist is forced to do something or they record something they don't believe in, it's so noticeable and the quality decline is IMMEDIATE. Doesn't seem to be the case with Radical Optimism imo.

To me Dua is probably the only popstar who is relatable but also keeping the star interest around her.

 

She doesn't exploit her personal life at all, which has become selling point to almost everyone these days, from relationships, to flings, to personal beefs and drama)

 

She communicates with her audience on her podcast on topics which are interesting and not always typical mainstream but she still keeps the sense of "mystery" around her cause she doesnt have a need to post every single step on social media. Plus as you said, she seems very involved in the creative and also business side of the process.

People are giving too much attention to this. Nobody will give a **** about this. GP know Dua have been a Palestine/cease fire advocate since day one. Also at the end of the day everyone with more than an active brain cell knows that pop stars are capitalists so I really don't see what's so shocking here.
