The food truck near me is $20 for an item of food. $20. For a food truck. It's absolutely insane. It's gotten to the point I just don't go to restaurants at all anymore. And I notice it with friends as well, social activities are now more geared towards outdoors stuff and hanging out at someone's house. Nobody wants to spend $50 per person to go out to a subpar pub.

It's ridiculous and it's basically price gouging not inflation. So many utilities companies and supermarkets have reported record profits whilst we are forced to accept a massive decline in our quality of life.

complaining because it feels like I can't save money anymore esp when gas was like 6-8 dollars that one year recently.

Well except they don’t as it was a rhetorical question, as cumulative inflation has been a tiny fraction of 300% over two years in the US.

I used to buy 500g of cheese here in NZ for about $7-8 dollars and the other day I went to get some and it was $9. That's the first time I was like damn why did it go up lol

fr i was just thinking about this… i went through my email to find my earlier vinyl purchases from 2015-2019 and they were $20-$25 MAX. vinyls are easily $35-$40, some even pushing $50 now like wtf?
