They obviously both benefitted from dating each other (some would say Selena more than Justin), but what if they had never dated? Would Justin still have become as big as he did? And what about Selena?

Selena would be way less successful in music(I say it because THWWIW was the turnaround on her adult carreer) but more successful in acting and wouldn't have so many emotional issues

JB would still be very successful in music but a smaller celebrity and his transition from a teen artist to an adult artist would be harder(Journals was it) but fame would be less harder on him too

selena would be less successful (think sabrina carpenter level) and whoever justin dated instead if she's a singer would get what selena got (positive and negative)

In 2010 Justin was selling out Madison Square Garden and an arena world tour after a career of.. 6 months? He was a teen sensation and became one of the defining faces in 2010s pop culture (arguably the biggest one with Gaga and Taylor and for sure the biggest among men) out of blue, he was already as famous as you can get before entering the relationship.

 

He gave Cindy Kimberly a career with a single IG post, I don't know why people are still pretending he gained something from this relationship other than hate

Selena's music career would have ended around 2013. She would transition to a TV actress, something like Hilary Duff's TV career in the late 2010s.

Selena wouldn't have a #1. Her celebrity power wouldn't be half as big.

 

Justin would be the same. I don't see how he benefited from dating her at all.

I don’t think Justin’s career would have been any different if he didn’t date Selena. He would have been just as famous and dated another pop star. Selena’s career would be much different though. He made her the A list star that she is today. If it weren’t for him her career would probably be over right now and she definitely wouldn’t have been successful enough to have a huge beauty empire. She can complain about Justin all she wants but he basically handed her an empire.

Justin dated girls pré and pós Selena. None of them came to her level of fame. He couldn't even give Jasmine a hit or make of Caitlin Beadles a big influencer

I agree he would probably date some other famous girl, but Selena was a dream girl for all the boy at his age at the time.  Selena also would probably date some other famous boy and could end up even bigger, but with less haters

Selena would still be on one of the biggest disney/teen show of all time. A huge celebrity and her music career would still be the same

 

Bieber's career wouldnt exist knowing 95% of his dated and bad discography is about Selena Gomez
