They tried but then had to split them because Turkey was blocking Sweden joining over PKK Kurdish separatists they wanted extradited. Meanwhile Turkey was being criticized for doing deals with Putin but at one point it was the only thing maintaining grain deals in the Black Sea from stolen ports to keep those in Eastern Africa from starvation. IBeMe Posted February 26 Share Posted February 26 I feel like having Finland in was good enough and adding Sweden was just overkill. Finland shares a huge border with Russia and the only way Russia would ever attack Sweden is through the Kalingrad exclave so it was pretty much protected in every way.
