After that night, he didn’t even call me, but we saw each other in the hallway and he hinted at the next affair.

It is unlikely that our intimate relationship should last long.

Yes and.

Single soon will barely win against ME! Chile

Love Ari but Im sure there are way better songs on ES than next, please

Single Soon is unlistenable, so the other one.

Exactly, the whole second verse is out of tune and shaky even after melodyne pitch correction :/ I cannot imagine how the raw vocal take must have sound

You're gonna summon that irritating Selena stan to make another thread about yes and's performance  :toofunny2:

OT: Single soon is noise so the other one wins by default

Either I'm missing a reference or you meant to post this in a different thread.

yes and clears by miles, this is not really a fair comparison.

yes and, is not even that bad

Yes and?

Single Soon didn’t deserve the one stream it got from me :skull:

lord I hope her new single is better cuz if it’s not then…

Bit of a Battle of Mid™️ for me, but despite my grievances and believing it's by far Ariana Grande's weakest lead single, I voted for "yes, and?". The production is great, there are catchy melodies throughout, and Ariana sounds really good for the most part, even though I would have appreciated more big vocal moments given the genre. The lyrics and that bridge are what lower my opinion of it, but "Single Soon" is also frustrating lyrically, but with awkwardly clunky production in the verses and a rather uninspired sound.

With that being said, Selena has the better music video here, because Ariana's is just a weak tribute of Paula Abdul's incredible "Cold Hearted".
