Any news of promo coming soon? I've read somewhere she was doing the Today show but I'm not sure it's true

I kind of agree with this. I think it needed to be a mix between Versions of Me and Funk Generation so it could appeal to more audiences

I understand you and it's a valid point for sure, but still there's this rawness about the funk movement that makes sense for what she aimed for the core of this record so I'm fine with that.

 

it's her first album with real concept and replay value imo. sabana and double team are my favs.

Back in March Anitta said she was trying to clear a sample of Diddy's "I need a girl pt 2" for a song with Chloe titled "Girl Like Me" that could be in the deluxe version of the album
 

I hope his controversies don't affect this release, the video has been ready for quite some time

While I get it based on principle. The sample isn't because or for Diddy you know? It sucks cause Chloe and Anitta are really good friends and had plans for this. Hopefully everything works out

Apparently Sabana was named Down and had a sample of Thong Song by Sisquo. They couldn't clear the sample so they shortened it down to what became only Sabana in the record. She's using the original version in the concerts

I'm still pissed at how hard she fumbled her bag with this album. It feels like she just doesn't care

The album has 2 vmas now

It hasn't really been fumbled at all. She doesn't have a major label backing this record and yet she's managed to create countless videos, performances, wrapped up a tour, won 2 VMAs, will probably most likely get nominated for a Grammy and countless other collabs. She's maintained a high profile and fed her fans what they want. Sure, it didn't smash on billboard but was she ever going to?
 

The album has almost half a billion streams… everything about this is a success and she's managed to rake in a ton of cash because of being independent. So congrats to her. She works hard and it shows

She signed a distribution deal in America with republic. She's still considered an independent artist. She owns florista records which I assume is her own label
