What's next for Bree Runway

Featured Replies

Brenda Mensah aka Bree Runway is a singer from the UK. A few years ago she was touted as the next big thing, receiving critical acclaim for her EP Be Runway and the subsequent mixtape 2000and4eva.

But after the lead single for her debut album had its sample removed, her career somewhat stalled.

In 2022, she tried to relaunch her era with a Trilogy of singles but only ended up releasing two songs, Pressure and Somebody like you.

Later that year she released THAT GIRL which seemed to garner a positive reception from her fanbase. Unfortunately this was destined to be included on the rather mediocre 5 track EP, Woah what a Blur.

After a last ditch attempt at a hit in the form of a Khalid collab she was dropped by her label. Since gaining independence, it's been pretty quiet on the music front other than a few vague tweets here and there.

What do you expect from Bree Runway's upcoming music? Do you think she's still got a chance of breaking out?

Her situation is really sad, All Night deserved to be a multi-week #1 hit

She will drop singles mostly, with an EP every now and then.

It's really sad that she never really took off because she's got so much talent. Unfortunately, I still dont see it happening unless some song goes viral on TikTok. I can see her dropping EPs here and there for her niche following and maybe touring some small venues.

Her label was terrible at promoting her. She literally has the talent and the look to be a major popstar. She could've easily been the Doja Cat from the other side, but uniquely Bree.

I think she still has a chance to make a breakout hit, and I don't think we've heard the last of her. She should also consider going the songwriter/producer route if she can't find the backing. It's difficult for a UK artist to breakout globally, let alone domestically.

her label didn’t do **** for her :rip:honestly what she needs to do is consistently release music for her niche fanbase and grow that audience more so they will support her music/tours etc which is important if she’s staying indie…but i’m sure she’s shopping around for a label that is willing to help develop her artistry bc bree strikes me as someone who wants to be a star. im 100% convinced she’s got what it takes and she so deserves to at least be on the same level as the other indie pop/rap girls, im rooting for her :WAP:

She just needs to keep making music and not give up. She is too talented not to succeed and we gays with taste love ha.

:clap3:

What's next for her is creative freedom, peace and happiness; not everybody is destined to or needs to 'break out'. She'll be just fine

I feel like following the RAYEprint and continue releasing independently is the easiest thing anyone can say release but Escapism. is one of the most engaging songs I've ever heard.. like ever.

I fear Brenda has to get into her BAG! and deliver us something amazing
