the chorus of Edge of the Sun is already in my top 5 favorite choruses of 2024 so far!! like that is POP PERFECTION

i'm so happy to see a a legend like Beth still shining and still serving it and got it

Me and my friend listened to the album in full after we closed our bar tonight and let me tell you, the mutual feeling that the 1-2-3 punch that Light it Up, Tough, and Peace and Quiet gave us was INSANE. I was worried about this album (for no real reason) but this really shaped up to be a wonderful listening experience.

It's more midtempo than I expected, but I was vibing during my entire first listen  It's funky, catchy, even the more uninteresting moments are bops… a very solid work, but those who disliked A Joyful Noise will not like it probably

Peace and Quite has some very beautiful moments.

7.1 from pitchfork, honestly a pretty good score  reading the review feels like they scored it higher in their heads though lol

haven't returned to this much unfortunately but I will say that the title track is still an insane level of pop perfection rarely seen in pop music nowadays  like the production? Beth's vocals? THAT CHORUS??? if any pop girl released this song, it'd be a mega smash
