  • Do it and see how it goes. You never know until you try.   I was really nervous about going on vacations alone until I finally just did it and loved it. Doing things alone isn't bad.

  • I think a lot of people need to learn it’s okay to do things alone. I club alone, take myself to dinner alone, vacation alone. It’s not that I don’t have friends, but we don’t always want to do the sa

It’s not worth the money and time imo. Yes maybe you’ll meet some people but most likely no so what’s the point?

my main objective would be to just have fun and dance

If that's your main objective i think you'll do fine.

I don't understand the people here saying a bar is better ? It's much more serious and MUCH harder to loosen up or talk to people in a lounge imo

A club is where everyone is dancing close to one another and genuinely at ease. It is WAY easier to feel at comfortable/not awkward about being alone since kinda no one really knows you are. It's almost inevitable that people will talk and laugh with you.

Not the same thing at all lol

As a lot of people have said already, I've only enjoyed clubbing alone whilst on vacation. There's usually a bunch of other solo travelers as well and we bond, end up doing stuff together the next day, etc. And the vibe is very uplifting, everyone just wants to have a good time and experience wherever we are to the fullest.

Meeting new people clubbing in my hometown, however, esp if they're drunk, isn't the best. In most cases, they're drowning their sorrows, venting about their jobs, escaping daemons, etc. And you'll most likely never see them again. And, even if you do, you end up regretting it. On those nights, I always feel like I wasted time, money, and energy.

At your age, clubbing alone is amazing, tell people you’re just on vacation in your city and they’ll tell you about the clubs and stuff!

I am someone who does not mind going to the movies, a restaurant etc. alone and so I have enjoyed going to pubs/bars alone, but with that said, unlike the other two activities, I have been a bit more scared for two reasons.

-The BEST advantage of going with friends to a club is that someone can keep an eye on your accessories if you got to step into the bathroom or whatever.

-Second - and I only noticed this when I came back after stepping out for a call - your friend can watch your drink. I came back to my drink randomly...bubbling? :biblio: Baby I left. And the group of three people next to me was looking REAL shifty after I noticed the bubbles. So yea.

With that said, I like the 'lone stranger at a bar" thing; it is freeing. But sometimes there are practicalities to consider.

One time I also wasn't paying attention to what I tipped the (live) band playing at a bar (it was dark and dimly lit), and I ended up tipping them a 1K currency note when I wanted to tip 100 :deadbanana: I hate it here.

With that said, several people tried to hit on me and it was kinda fun (except one person who almost took it too far) :dies: Just be careful, know your limits (ESPECIALLY alcohol - when I go out on my own I barely drink), be careful of people around you, and take care of your belongings.

If you're going clubbing alone make your way straight to the centre of the dancefloor with abandon, don't linger on the outskirts looking at other people cuz you might start to second guess yourself when there's no need for that
