The last couple of weeks have been rough for Latto after being bullied by Nicki, Spice and their goons. Then out of nowhere, she got a huge kpop collab, she delivered, and broke lots of rap streaming records. Idk about you, but to me, this is a huge W for Miss Latto!  Surprised?

No. Let's be real. None of the success is because of her and it will not do anything for her career other than a cute cheque which is still nice. She will remain a huge flop unless she snatches JK for her own song and then it would still be popular because of him and not her. Glad she got the coin with this feat tho.

Depends. She's definitely been given a strong chance/second-wind to succeed - a hip-hop resurgence thanks to Cardi, and now this Kpop-rap (what seems to be) smash.

 

If she's smart she will capitalize on this momentum.

As a Latto-anti, I can confirm she definitely did gag some of us chile. If you would've told me scratch-off would have the biggest debut on spotify for a hip-hop artist two days ago i would've laughed so hard but it's true

I don't think it'll have any impact on her career. A bit like Unholy did nothing for the follow-ups of Kim Petras.

 

But I'm happy the song is doing great, I just listened to it for the first time and it's a damn bop. Great contender for song of the summer if you ask me.

 

Never thought I'd end up liking a song from BTS or one of its members tbh.

Latto can't do anything solo, and BTS fans won't be streaming her rap songs. The song is literally n/a on apple music. Latto already fell off-actually, she never really took off. She got a radio hit due to a huge sample that was poorly streamed. PIODF was going viral on tiktok, and even then she didn't debut, and barely charted on Spotify even with a cardi assist. That lottery song will have performed better with an actual rap star.

 

She might get a few gigs here and there, but she'll never be a mainstream rap star, at least one that is respected anyway. On her own, she has no mainstream appeal whatsoever other than her light-skin advantage. Even then you'll be turned off by the fake hood girl aesthetic she puts on. Even people that don't like nicki know that Latto is opportunistic, crass, and has no identity of her own. There was a time when people felt that Remy ma was going to take over female rap. But where is she now?

Its a great streaming boost either way she gets that which is a Win for her.

She clearly won because aint nobody expecting rap superstar from Latto. She’s B-list at best and she’s doing a damn good job at keeping her name afloat and out there. In January she was destined to be a one hit wonder and now she got a cute second wind with rap and pop. Y’all were clearly foolish in buying the Ice vs Latto proxy war thing when Ice has way more to prove than Latto with no album out and just features as hits. 
 

Some of the rap girls already got the memo: barbz are only here for Nicki and thats it. Look at BIA’s and JT’s numbers, both dropped music yesterday. Y’all don’t show for these girls and everyone can see through this female rap supporters façade. These are the girls that were Latto’s actual competition, not Nicki, who’s more than ten years in and an actual rap legend. Latto is doing good and booking better gigs than them so she won
