Why?

It is with much sadness that we announce that in our 28th year of operation, ALLACCESS.COM will cease publishing at the close of business at 6p (PT), TUESDAY, AUGUST 15th, 2023 due to a marked decrease in revenues that makes moving forward impossible. The site will remain online for an undetermined amount of time.

This was not a decision that was reached lightly nor without earnest tries to find a path forward. It comes on the heels of major changes in the music industry announced in JANUARY of this year. These strong financial headwinds also extend to our non-music partners as well. Both downturns have greatly affected how ALL ACCESS operates. The dollars are just not there to support our operation and staff any longer.

This might be a stupid question but how will releases be distributed to radio stations moving forward?  I had a friend who helped run my city's top 40 radio station 10+ years ago and he got all his music from All Access downloads.

Wow, this honestly really sucks. I've been following AllAccess radio updates for literally over a decade now. It's gonna feel very weird to not have these updates every day :noparty:

I know we'll have the Mediabase Top 30, but in addition to losing out on #31-50, we'll also lose a ton of other features like Spincrease, Taking Off, full adds reports beyond just the Top 10 on each format, and being able to check individual song and radio station stats. We're also gonna lose Kworb's overall audience page (or get a much more limited version of it) since he pulls that data from the individual AllAccess charts.

will kworb radio still exist or do they get their numbers from All Access?

Hmm.... Right in time for Nicki's Album.   I kid, I kid. I'm 100% joking.

We all know radio is the one component in the charts/hits algorithm many have little control over, so to make things even less transparent is a problem for me.

I'll really miss that site. I used to spend hours there during the "4 vs. Dance-pop" era looking at adds dates, spincreases, songs taking off, and the year-to-date charts for Urban/UAC/Rhythmic/Top 40.  Had me feeling like an industry insider when I was younger.

This is horrible tbh. I’m very sad. I’ve been following them for as long as I’ve been on ATRL :rip:

That’s literally how I check what my favourite stations are playing, and also the Canadian radio charts. :chick3: This is a daily ritual for me :skull::rip:
