This song deserves spotlight all on its own. Sure, it may have been about Kanye initially (or John Mayor since they were both 32 back then), but Taylor wrote this song so brilliantly that it isn't dated. This song can be relatable to anyone. I turned to this song a lot the last few years. This song is a beautiful reminder to never beat yourself up for your past mistakes, as you always have the opportunity to learn from them and move forward. It's a reminder that it is never too late to get back up on your feet after you fall and never too late to recover after falling from grace. Taylor's Version sounds even more mature now because of the life experiences behind it now since the original release.

I never loved the original, but this version is so incredible. Breathtaking. It's so full of context now thirteen years later, and she truly did it justice.

I’ve always loved this song

Before listening to TV, I thought Innocent was a nice song with a good meaning. Now? I love this song, the rerecording really emphasises the song.
