Thank U Next is more "memorable" but Positions is better, although it has more filler, the highs are higher, bar Ghostin'.

34+35 (even including the remix) and positions cannot compete with thank u, next, 7 rings, and break up with your girlfriend as singles.

 

Positions is just OK for me. I don't hate it or think it's awful-- it's just a disappointment after the well-produced sweetener and thank u, next.

Positions could have been trimmed down to a bonus EP for a re-release of thank u, next. It sounds largely uninspired, I find. There are some songs I enjoy from it, but it can't stand up to thank u, next.
