I remember bumping this and Demi’s Here We Go Again album back to back. They were pretty similar artists in those eras.

 

It’s a shame Allison’s music career stalled after her debut.

I remember her during American Idol

I bought the Japanese version of this CD  Everytime I hear it again, I’m surprised by how well it’s aged for a pop rock album from that era. Most of the music I liked at that time sounds like ass now

JLY is THAT song.

 

I love Nothing at All and Narcissist from her later music too.

A talent. Just Like You is a gem

Friday I'll Be Over U and Just Like You should've been EASY top 10 hits. Not sure what happened. Were they sent to radio?  I, a fan, didn't even know she had released music (let alone a full album) until summer of 2010 when I went to one of those outlet shopping centers outside of Washington, DC, and they were playing her "Friday I'll Be Over U" video frequently in the food court.

Just Like You wasn’t released as a single. Instead they went with Scars and Don’t Waste the Pretty.

I still LOVE her album so much. It's such a shame they never pushed her harder, literally the only time I remember hearing Friday I'll Be Over You on the radio was legit on Radio Disney 

Why has no one in this album praised the flawless “Scars” from her debut album? That song is sooooo incredible. Her voice just sounds perfect.  

The two Max/Shellback songs are top tier. 
 

The final chorus of Just Like You…whew
