Featured Replies

Why tho? What's the difference?

Doesn't matter bundles or not.

sad! but this...

For Tour tickets? No.

I do think that physicals should count for the week they’re bought in tho, regardless of when they are actually shipped out.

i thought the same at first, because it meant that artists were incentivised to release more vinyl and cd variants. especially if they were close to going #1, but after having to wait 6 months to a year for a vinyl, i think this decision was the best. there is an argument to be made about sales counting the week of shipment that it doesn't reflect the actual music consumption of the tracking week, it represents the shipment of an album someone purchased months / year(s) ago. this is how we get albums that peaked months ago suddenly entering the top 10 or at #1 because the vinyl / cd finally shipped

You made alot of good points sis :chick2: I agree that waiting months for a vinyl or cd was really annoying :katie: but also like you said, albums going back to top 10 because of the shipping is really not reflecting popularity :giraffe: I do respect the fact that u think this is a good decision because it means artists have to actually get the physicals out earlier which I also like  :clap3:

No, bundles (with merch) will only cover up the fact that sales fell off but the situation will not change.

.

Mostly no.

But part of me does still kind of wish for them to come back, mainly because it was really the only way old artists could still make some noise on the charts, which was nice to see. :gaycat6:

Now with their sales basically being N/A, and their streams also being in the pits, there's no way for them to chart Hugh anymore.
