It just is insane that an aging washed up veteran would have a solo song without any major push doing better than a comeback single by the golden girl of rap featuring two insanely popular rappers WITH a music video 

The difference between Cardi and Nicki is that Cardi is very GP driven whereas Nicki’s is fanbase driven. So if the song isn’t good (in Cardi’s case with Hot S.) the song won’t do well because it doesn’t resonate with the GP, whereas with Nicki, it doesn’t matter if the song is good or not (I personally don’t like this song) her fans WILL make it chart. Until Cardi develops a strong fanbase like Nicki, Cardi won’t have the longevity like Nicki. Because once the GP finds a new IT girl, your songs will only chart high if it’s a certified hit on arrival (like Up & WAP).

I mean when you defend modern day Minstrel shows, flopping is warranted.

 

 

For context, Chicken Boy & Big Groove previously known as Groovin Gorilla are the ones in the video, and Miss Groove is notorious for his Sambo acts like a certain watermelon video, and dressing like a gorilla and acting like one for his majority white audience. 

 

So yeah, I think it will be bigger
