This is heartbreaking. Dementia is a f**king b!tch. My grandmother, prior to her passing, had both dementia and early on-set alzheimer's. Both SUCK!

he was so hot in the 90's hope he has constant care 24/7

He's only 67  It's a reminder to be grateful for the time you have.

oh no  what horrible news. hope he is surrounded by loved ones and getting the best care.

Frontotemporal dementia is bloody awful as well. You lose all of your self-control mechanisms so you become much more loud, violent and sexually inappropriate. It's an incredibly difficult and confronting dementia for those closest to you.

 

I hope the media give him the privacy and dignity he deserves. My thoughts go out to his family.

i recently watched Sixth Sense for the first time and he's amazing in it.

i wonder how you get that so early. i mean, he's not young, but 67 isn't super old, either. sad to hear.

This is part of why the aphasia diagnosis was so sad already - the kind that he seemed to have almost always progresses to this point when it's not the result of a stroke or injury. I hope his family has everything they need to help him be as comfortable as possible; dementia is one of the most harrowing experiences for everyone whose life it touches.

Sad to hear this. Hoping the symptoms can be alleviated :/

That's terrible and he's only 67 

He’s still young for those diseases.

Normally people get those in their mid 70s or 80s

Yeah same. Its nasty. There is nothing more heartbreaking than your own loved ones forgetting who you are.
