Tbh during her peak eras touring wasn’t the only source of income + huge touring acts back then were very big productions and intense choreo, neither which she does live. 

Mariah’s songs are vocally very demanding. The fact that she kind of killed her legacy (see that now infamous New Year’s Eve performance) doesn’t help her at all. It’s a shame because she is talented but we’ve all seen multiple performances where she was allegedly lip syncing or drunk off her ass. Her stage fright may have contributed to some of that but either way… if you aren’t serving great vocals or visuals..
