With her departure from her major record label and smashing right out the gate with escapism., people are praising her as the next Gaga with her aesthetics and just like how Gaga was one of the first pioneers of electronic/EDM infused pop music at the time, RAYE’s upcoming trip hop infused album is ushering a trip hop renaissance with UK music. Dua Lipa’s next album will definitely be inspired by RAYE. Is 2023 RAYE’s year?

Crazy to even put this out there bc some stans had been talking about a Dua trip hop inspired album a few months and how great it would be. Perched.

I don't see it honestly? If anything she reminds me more of Amy Winehouse but there isn’t anyone really like her. She's such an incredible talent and I hope 2023 for her is what 2009 was for Gaga. :duca:

Raye is Raye lol.

There’s no one who immediately comes to mind when I hear/see her, which is what makes her so refreshing.

y’all say anything

Don't see it.

But she's one of us and extremely talented and I couldn't be happier for her success :heart2:

literally have never seen anyone calling her the next gaga ever

raye's catalogue sets her up to be a pretty unique artist imo

she's versatile but there's always been a lingering darkness in her music since the second ep
