Well put!! Totally feel this way. I think it’s comparable to TMA in that way even though the two records are vastly different in intent and tone.

This album is so centered and free. The way she sings about turning away from those who oppress her toward her own people who appreciate her experiences on Holier is such a lightbulb moment. It adds so much more weight to the euphoria of the dance tracks and nuance to the sex jams. Even the hardest hitting songs have a quiet confidence to them that I really appreciate

exactly, it sounds like a full body of work  Kelela is one of the modern greats

Aside from Happy Ending I was concerned because the other singles weren't really hitting but in context of the album, everything just works. I really love the build-ups of every track.

I actually like their reviews a lot! They don’t just focus on pop and they actually just say what they think instead of following the crowd.  They’re WRONG about this album though
