It was such a radio hit, it peaked at #1 on Hot 100 but now it's forgotten   The song still slaps imo

Even though it was a #1 it still feels underrated amongst her hits. It still slaps hard and the bridge is PERFECTION! I’d love for this and HIAM to receive more acknowledgement from fans and the GP. 
 

Also, we know it was originally meant for a release of Circus, but I love how much it fits perfectly with the rest of the Circus material. A perfect transitional single post-Circus and pre-Femme Fatale.

I think people exaggerate a bit when they say this is "forgotten"

I think it's remembered for its double entendres like If You Seek Amy and the kids who listened to them innocently now realize the hidden meanings as adults and poke fun at that

 

Now Hold It Against Me is really forgotten  (much like the dubstep genre)

and reminds me of my high school days riding around in my friend's parents very old run down minivan trying to get into this sports bar while underrage and once we were in we didn't know what to do so we were sitting on some stairs and we got asked to leave

I used to love this song back in the day, it was the perfect Britney / Max Martin catchy and fun song. It's a shame it didn't become one of Britney's signature classics even though it's a crowd favourite.

Pop perfection.

Sounds like an album filler.

Make Oops and Hit Me sound like an amateur did them. Her best song she has ever put out. Deserves the Tik Tok viral treatment. Still sounds like it could be put out today by a new pop star and be a hit.

 

This song and Everytime are the best aged songs in her entire discography. Prove me wrong.
