TREASURE are in such a weird place cause they are obviously very popular in Asia especially South East Asia and have performed at domes in Japan etc., but they also feel like they are just "there", if that makes sense especially in the West. It's obvious that YG never intended to push them in the West, since the company already has BP smashing over there, which is why TREASURE debuted with 12 members in the group, since group with over 9 members are usually very well received in Asia which is the complete opposite in the West.

Also, YG really fumbled the bag with them when he put them in a 13 month hiatus in their rookie years, which is why ENHYPEN managed to take their spot in the trinity. They also just lost Bang Yedam which hurt the group's popularity as a whole, but now they will have to re-establish themselves again. Anyways, TREASURE might not reach BIGBANG level, but they will definitely surpass iKON and WINNER in the long run, and they will also end up being the best selling YG boy group in the future. 

 

To top it off I do believe Treasure was supposed to debut sometime on 2019 since their survival show was aired during late 2018 and originally debut with 7 members and YHS plan to debut another group with 6 members from the same survival show so basically follow the Winner+iKon formula. 

 

We all know YG was a complete mess in 2019 riddled with endless scandals causing their debut get delayed and reorganize to one big single group after one of the member leaving before their official debut on August 2020.

 

Imo they're comfortably sitting at the 4th place on the 4th Gen bgs popularity mainly being very popular in Asia and not to mention came from the Big 4 agencies that automatically gave them enough exposure from the general Kpop fans.
