To top it off I do believe Treasure was supposed to debut sometime on 2019 since their survival show was aired during late 2018 and originally debut with 7 members and YHS plan to debut another group with 6 members from the same survival show so basically follow the Winner+iKon formula.

We all know YG was a complete mess in 2019 riddled with endless scandals causing their debut get delayed and reorganize to one big single group after one of the member leaving before their official debut on August 2020.

Imo they're comfortably sitting at the 4th place on the 4th Gen bgs popularity mainly being very popular in Asia and not to mention came from the Big 4 agencies that automatically gave them enough exposure from the general Kpop fans.

Actually Treasure aren't sitting comfortable on the 4th place, since Ateez have better sales and actually have a million seller album. Treasure still doesn't have a million seller album yet. The 4th place is interchangeable between those 2 groups

Trashure is a non-factor

big fat flop

The only 2 interesting worthy members left, and one of them (Bang Yedam) was the only reason a couple of their songs were worth a stream due to his STELLAR vocals

RIP

:rainy:

TREASURE is still only 2 years old with plenty of room to grow. The 4th gen boy groups ahead of them all have 4+ years on them

so for them to only be 2 years old I’d say they’re doing fine.

Yeah, I’d actually argue that Treasure and ATEEZ would be battling for 5th place actually, and that The Boyz are still sitting at 4th, even with their trajectory plateauing

IMG-1853.jpg

And TREASURE just had a #1 single and 300k in attendance for their debut tour in Japan

the 4th gen boy groups above them didn’t achieve that 2 years into their debut

Ateez is bigger than Treasure lmao that's without saying

In the west, yes

like I said

TREASURE just wrapped 3 sold-out shows in Thailand this week. 2 added because of the demand

also did 2 sold-out dome shows in Japan and a like 20 sold out dates for their Japan leg of their tour

ATEEZ are not seeing them in Asia, please.

I really like Sullyoon, but I found her as an MC a bit... flat when she was testing out with Jungwoo the other week :katie:  But I'm sure she was nervous and will only get better with time

I would say The Boyz are the #6 biggest 4th Gen boy group. They had a ton of hype from Kingdom but seem stagnant with their album sales. I would put Treasure above them due to potential especially coming from YG. They can get better promotions if the company pushes them harder.

I think the issue for both groups is that they both have so many members so it's hard for casual people to get familar with them. Not surprising that both Super Junior and Seventeen do well in variety. That's where large groups can excel because you can make more interesting content with more people. And if you make interesting content, easier for people to get engaged with your group. The Going Seventeen series seemed to be a game changer for the group.

I think Ateez have outsold them? Treasure will surpass them in the future, when they release more albums.

The Boyz are completely over right now, and have even seen a decline in album sales and basically doing nugu numbers (streaming wise). The "Big 6" is now the Big 5 I fear

I need Juyeon to pull a Eunwoo, open a solo IG, pivot to solo gigs, acting and influencing, and secure his life vest for when the ship sinks for good :ninja:

Thank you for your constructive opinion and not coming off as a hater like some of these people in here

i totally forgot about The Boyz and I do agree TRESSURE needs more variety appearances to promote themselves more, they’ve done a lolll, but it definitely needs to be upped

Which groups would you say are #2-5? Stray Kids obviously leads the pack at first, that much is certain, and TXT is likely the most apt to fall in line behind them. (ATEEZ + Enhypen somewhere within that mix)

After that, it's pretty much a toss-up. To me, there aren't even that many bgs making credible enough waves in the 4th gen to be recognized --- even more so when you consider the disparity between those and the top 2.

Edited by Rhythm

I also wanna point out TREASURE haven't stepped foot outside of Asia like the other 4th gen boy groups have

I think once they start their world tour it’ll show where they are in the 4th gen rankings a bit better

4th Gen bgs popularity:

1) Stray Kids

2) TXT

3) Enhypen

---- Big Gap ----

4) Treasure

5) Ateez (Yes they're bigger than Treasure in the west, but Treasure were much bigger than them in Asia)

6) The Boyz (Can't see them compete with Treasure and Ateez in the long run, don't think some will even remember they have comeback back in February)

A Hunk! But yeah, he's kinda more popular than his group. He needs to redebut in a smaller group!

The ranking is basically this:

1. Stray Kids

2. TXT

---Little Gap----

3. ENHYPEN

-----gap-------

4. TREASURE

5. ATEEZ

I don't think YG has any plans for Treasure in the West at the moment. It seems like the group was created to appeal to Asia more

Haruto doesn't get to talk like that when he looked like that with the pink blazer and earrings, how ironic :deadbanana4: Did he also forget that Treasure did a mini bromance series? :rip:

OnlyOneOf better be the pioneer and make a BL series with their own members and become a hit group internationally since many Koreans are still homophobic :gayalipacat5:
