Tesla… What went wrong?

Featured Replies

They were suppose to be the vehicles of the future… But after finding out that some of their vehicles were being put together with zip ties people passed on them…

Tesla owners have to drive with a power generator to be able to travel and charge their cars. Their stock is dropping which made them give out an $7,500 discount to some buyers…

Other companies are already years forward in their new electric cars leaving Tesla models a little outdated now… and the Cybertruck… another mess… will they ever recover?

Ok but Mate has an innovative brain.  Imagine making an electric car from your garage using an old BMW and winning awards. King Behavior!

Megalomaniac CEO, shoddy engineering, no existing infrastructure and supply chain and decades of procedures and quality control other major manufacturers have, etc.

They had the first mover advantage for EVs but they blew it.

This looks cute and more realistic than the actual thing. I want one.  :santa:

There has been no advancement in Tesla since 2012. Not even the shape of the cars has changed. Elon has pocketed all the money the US tax payers has given him to advance that tech. It's a poorly run company. He never cared about EV's, just making himself rich.

Full of overpromises. They remind me of Chinese companies who show off bare prototypes years ahead and parade themselves as the "future" which gullible crypto bros fall for. They believe the hype and invests solely on that rather than seeing actual working products. Stock is overvalued for what it is.

Tesla Cars: Quality of a Toyota

So basically the highest quality car on the market?  This is far too much of a compliment.

You can compare it to Toyota in terms of how basic they can be. But quality wise Toyota wins :gaycatina1:

They could never.

At best they’re quality of somethin Land Rover/Jaguar puts together (and that’s being generous).

They literally started exploding, breaking down, and killed people with an AI that doesn’t recognize human lives as important enough to brake.

Not y'all talking about reliability when the point was the plastic interior and creaking seams inside a $100k "luxury" Tesla Model S.

Everyone knows how reliable Toyotas are. :rip:

Tesla is one of the most economically viable companies out there and they are market leader on sustainable energy within cars... what is going wrong :chick3: just because stock prices go down doesnt mean the company is doing bad.

This is one of the biggest stock flops of the year, -55% in 3 months...

Who care about the company being economically viable when the vehicles aren’t reliable?

Their market share has dropped 15% in two years and is expected to drop another 40% in the next few years.

Elon’s pandering to Republicans, an group of people that typically does not purchase electric vehicles, has ostracized tons of other potential customers.  And now almost every major vehicle manufacturer has their own EVs being released and for cheaper than Tesla, they’ve become such a niche vehicle it’s no surprise to see their decline.

The next big EV brand is Rivian especially is Apple ends up buying them out like rumored.

Quality is too low, especially when they're considered "luxury". Before Elon went all right-wing I was considering buying one at some point but literally, every video of reviewers and buyers said the first thing you should do is walk around the car and look for problems. The reputation they had for defects was ridiculous.

There's also a lot more competition out there now including more consumer-friendly, normal-priced EVs.
