Brand new deluxe edition of their debut album. 

 

It's their debut EP cover art with the 11 standard tracks + 3 previously released bonus tracks + 5 official acoustic versions + 4 Rhapsody acoustic lives. 

 

I'm shocked they released this after so many years since their last album, they are currently in a hiatus since their fourth album release (first without original front woman). 

 

They parted ways with their original label so is very interesting to see this release with that label. 

 

Also, they partes ways with their second vocalist after she didn't feel that belonged to the group and they don't seem to share much about her on their IG band account, and they have seemed to tease a Lacey Sturm return as the frotnwoman for years now. 

 

Who knows maybe its the time.

Idk…Flyleaf/Lacey used to be one of my faves but I just know with how religious she is she’d say my gay ass is a sinner (which it is, but not for being a homo )

 

I’ve literally stopped listening to their old stuff the past few years just cause it feels so wrong now (even if it is musically amazing) and her new solo stuff I haven’t even listened to (I originally loved her first solo Album tho before I started to feel weird about listening to her)

OT: I’ve listened to Tina and I think the other two songs before. Don’t think they caught my interest enough tho cause I don’t have them at the moment 

I don't think Lacey will back to them in the future. I'm waiting for official annoucement that they are disbanded

i honestly thot they already had disbanded 

 

this album brings so many memories it’s insane, i was such a big fan and i still use some of their songs

Lacey said multiple times, that she doesn't have anything against LGBTQ* people. I don't know how real she was about that but she said it.

Classic after classic I fear. I played that album so much back in the day    Was one of my top 5 albums of all time before I gave up on them

They haven't disbanded, it's just a hiatus as the IG account is still very active to this day sharing memory photos and talking about the members (except Kristen May). 

 

Every member has a different job, either musically or not, and most have a family with kids. 

 

It's weird how Lacey husband is managing her social media and gigs tho, is almost as if you can't have a word with her without going through him first lol. 

 

She's hard at work working on her sophomore solo album for years now, she hasnt been very consistent with the album roll out as she has had some false starts releasing singles and thinking the new era has begun but still not album even though the first single she released after the debut album release was in 2020.

 

So far three singles and no album. 

 

Rumor has it that she's also working on a Flyleaf album, but I don't want to get my hopes up.

Something is definitely happening. Both Flyleaf and Lacey have teased to "stay tuned" via IG stories, which hints at a reunion with their Fire Fire lyrics "that's enough now dry your tears, it's been a long 11 years". Which is kinda crazy because I'm sure that lyric was originally about her decision to leave the band after 11 years, and now it's been (almost) 11 years since she's been gone... it's so fitting and full circle. If she's back with the band and she's recorded a new album with them I'm gonna lose my s***. I adored their albums in my teens.

Wow that sounds actually very possible, I'm intrigued if that's the case. 

Let me take this chance to say, that the There For You and Tiny Heart demos were also better than the final versions. But the first two or three albums are incredible. I don't really listen to rock anymore but I can still enjoy Flyleaf and Lacey solo music.

The Reason is a great solo song too.
