Mere weeks ago I was told she was "over" thanks due to boring sexless people's takes on Slxt Pop, and of course Problématique getting scrapped didn't inspire confidence.

 

However here we are on 25 October 2022 with Kim featuring prominently on "Unholy" giving her her first #1, #2 and #3 respectively on the Hot 100.

 

She really didn't lie when she dropped "The Future Starts Now" in late 2021.

And she deserves it

Same! Even though it's a Sam Smith song officially, it's got Kim written all over it and you know she was influential as hell on that track. Explain the switch up on sound and theme for Sam otherwise? A huge victory for them both of course.

yikes, really? what did she do to deserve it? it's very sad to see that the norm of the entertainment industry is now filled with people who are wildly problematic and undeserving of award, especially with someone like kim who is well known for being a rape apologist since the dawn of her 'career'

Hell yes but shes been working for so long and has been putting out QUALITY pop music that its very deserved.

What do you mean what did she do to deserve? Shes been working for years and putting out music consistently. By the way the music industry doesnt care about "problematic" people. If that was the case NO artist would be charting. They are all corrupt.

it's been apparent time and time again that the music industry does care for controversial figures; take for example the grammys openly 'supporting' kesha (airquoted as they would then later on to have a nomination for dr luke in a, i believe, 2021 category) and r kelly

 

also i think using the they are all corrupt comment as a reply to valid criticisms of her character just seems shallow as there are numerous artists i can name off the top of my head who have always had and carried out good intent onto others

I mean Foxes, Carly Rae Jepsen, Gotye all had number 1's and where are they now? I dont think her 15 seconds contributed anything to the success of the song, it's all Sam.

The music industry supported R kelly for DECADES after the pedophile and rape allegations surfaced, same with Michael Jackson, racists, Divas who treat people horribly and others are openly celebrated by the music industry. The fact that you people continue to talk about Dr Luke supporters when he is still literally getting #1 after #1 just shows what clowns you are. NOBODY CARES.

  More like im over people focusing on HER while other artists are working with so called rapists getting hit after hit and nobody calls them out. Its clear ATRL has hate for Kim but she just got a #1 so once again ATRL loses.

Not surprised. This isn’t the first time an artist of her caliber has gotten a #1 off the back of a more successful and well known artist. Hopefully her own material can take off just the same!

Her first and most likely only #1. Unholy is a great pop record but let's not pretend she is the driving force behind this single. A one hit wonder me thinks.

TERFtrl being terrified at Kim for being problematique while cheering everytime people like Cardi succeed. They don't even try to hide it anymore
