Can Miley Cyrus rebound?

Featured Replies

Plastic Hearts was her “rebound” era, she garnered more respect, avoided controversies, the album was well received, it had two medium sized hit singles that were big in Europe, and the album has great streams on Spotify

I think that from now on her eras will have similar success to PH, which is literally huge considering she’s been successful since she was a teen :clap3:

She could have another moderate hit, it's not that difficult. She does lot of live promo.

On the other hand she's not a US radio's favorite.

I think because she isn't even 30 yet, people forget that she's been a pop girl for 16 years. She had a pop radio hit a whole year before Gaga or Katy :skull:  Even if she doesn't have massive success again, she'll still maintain relevance.

Don’t think so, she’s in the same position as Katy, her image is far too ruined.

Everytime I think about Miley, I think about the tackiness of her 2013-2015 era.

K bye for now, Sunshine. <3

Her mainstream days are over I think but that's ok as long as she keeps putting out quality

People thought there was nothing left for Miley without Hannah Montana and then Bangerz era happened and gagged everyone. In 2017, people thought she was artistically lost and commercially done and then she bounced back with Plastic Hearts. Maybe she has some smash hits in her for next era?

Who thought that? I thought her leaving Disney was just the beginning, as was Bangerz lol.

2014-2019 need to be studied for her bc I don't understand how she managed to fall off the radar so deeply sans Malibu (masterpiece of a song), must've been personal issues she was dealing with too.

Haters used to say she was over when Can't Be Tamed underperformed back in 2010.

2014-2019 was a mess for so many different reasons. :toofunny2: Where do I even begin? well, in short, she broke up with Liam in late 13' after he cheated on her multiple times and her dog died in early '14, it all took a toll on her already fragile mental health, so she ended the Bangerz era rollout short and decided to focus on writing a new album - which we now know as Miley Cyrus & her Dead Petz. The over-the-top hippie image and left field music released for free on Soundcloud alienated a lot of fans at the time, it was a rough time to be a smiler. She eventually got back with Liam some few years later, changed her entire persona desperately trying to please him and his family and that's how we got Younger Now.

YN's image and sound alienated the rest of her remaining fanbase and Miley herself wasn't happy with the album. She got back on studio to work on the project "She is Miley Cyrus", which was initially going to be 3 EPs that later would together form a full-length album. Not so fast. She lost her Malibu home in a fire, her studio was burned down and she and Liam divorced some months after. Her life was a mess, so Miley decided to scrap the entire project. We only got the first EP (She is Coming) that she didn't even bother to promote.
