Her catalogue's streams are free-falling since the last time she released music

 

even her most successful album just cleared around 2 mil streams daily despite 3 big hits attached on it, and some fan's cult classics

Her other songs also don't see that much light in TikTok. It seems Olivia, Billie, Dua, GAYLE slowly have taken her spot

 

I have several scenarios in my mind :

 

1. People have replaced Ariana. The music trend has shifted, and Ariana will make music not for chasing success anymore a la Beyonce, Taylor

2. or she will be completely

3. Her disappearance will clear her overexposed image in last few years in last decade, and she will come back fresh and everyone will be reminded of her, and she will get another hit era

Wasn't Positions her comeback? 

I feel like it depends on what type of music she’s gonna go for….

I don't think she will FLOP but she may underperform if she takes too long to release, didn't she say earlier this year that she hasn't begin working on a new album? And since right now she's filming Wicked she may not start working on one until next year.

 

if she comes back with the same trap/pop/r&b style from tun and positions, her next release will bomb hard

If wicked isn’t being planned on being released till 2024, I doubt she’ll release anything till after that ?

She will if she has a baby before. The GP will be more sweet towards her making it harder for her to flop initially. The second single would be the deciding factor.

She will do great is just hope is nothing like Positions that would be the same album part 3

if she brings max martin back she wont flop.

i don’t see it doing that well tbh unless she switches sounds which i would be surprised to see her do so idk. she should be releasing now as she hasn’t toured in years but i don’t see her doing that either. her music career is a mystery at the moment

she will never comeback

She needs to drop the R&B and trap pop sound. 

Even if her eras keep getting smaller, AG7 will be a success, something about her is that her lead singles always smash, also all of her albums will soon have crossed the 4M units mark (if not already)… so AG7 will at least go #1, reach platinum status and get a big hit like she does every era (TW, problem, STS, NTLTC, tun, pos)

OT : It depends of what you mean by "success", because Positions definitely was one, but it's seen as an underperformance / flop on ATRL just because it failed to match TUNA's success. I can see AG7 perform kind of similarly to Positions : a successful lead single, a second that does (very) well and then she'll cut the era short.

Like others said in this thread I think she will flop, if she doesn’t depart from the positions and thank u next sound. Her sound hasn't changed in years and I think the gp is getting tired of it. However if she switches it up, I can see her having a very successful comeback.
