Can the mods also update the title so new threads aren't made? Something like "Taylor to occupy entire top 10?" or something similar would work imo

The point of the review thread is to discuss reviews there. There's literally no point in having individual threads for certain publications. Looks like the mods merged the Fantano thread into the main thread but left the Pitchfork thread separate for some reason

A simple title update is all that's needed. That's what normally happens with the UK chart threads anyway (and the German chart thread was done the same way).

Pitchfork reviews have their own thread.

Midweek/full week threads won't get merged. That would be equivalent to merging HDD and Billboard chart threads.

No it's not.  The UK midweek chart and official chart get separate threads. It makes no sense to merge them.

HDD/Billboard are separate entities. Midweek updates from OCC, ARIA, etc are literally just an earlier look at the full/official update. Making a distinction between the two seems kinda pointless to me. It unnecessarily pushes other information down the page. 

Even right now, the current HDD thread has been edited multiple times throughout the week to include Billboard's numbers in the title as well (although to be fair, Billboard normally doesn't comment on numbers until Sunday). Obviously a new thread will be made Sunday but it kinda shows that not every new update needs a new thread.

It doesn't make sense to open a redundant thread that pushes actual new/different information into the second and third page. Most of the smaller countries' threads don't even get that many replies. Is it really necessary to open a whole new thread? 

 

Then again the Charts section has been a mess for a while so I guess I should be used to it by now
