So I can't figure this song out. The first 2-3 times I listened to it, I couldn't really understand the structure - I think is a problem for the short songs folks put out these days. 

 

I've dissected the song. I honestly really love the verses where she's like 'Boy #1 made a picnic for 2...' I like the pre-chorus. I like most of the chorus until 'I Got A Beach House In Malibu..." - hate that part.

 

Individually, the verses, pre chorus & chorus are good, but they all seem like separate ideas that were patched together instead of a cohesive song.

 

 

This is not a folk song mefears, very much a pop song.

 

The problem is the men, it was cringe, stupid, and an all around awful idea. The song would be ok without the men.

Anyways, this sounds like a parody song. I have 0 faith in the era Carly.

The problem is the annoying male vocals. Automatically sends the song to the bottom of her otherwise pretty flawless discography

nnnnn I came running for the same reason  a standalone in the vein of Alien would be a slay

anyway, OP, I love the song, it's super catchy and it has a cool chord progression  it was a grower for me, but imo Carly can barely do any wrong

People forgot how to have fun during the pandemic. This is cute and campy and that was what she was going for so...

I think it's weirdly structured too + lyrics don't make sense.

 

I love Western Wind so this U-turn was a surprise 

it's a weirdly structured DNCE reject from 2017

it starts out so good and the verses are rly good 

but the hook is terrible and that's the focal point of the song, and then they keep building up on that hook by adding more and more men 

and the song ends before it has time to develop into something decent and you are left thinking like wait that was it?
