Duh. She's the biggest female international act here. We are sucker for mellow love songs.

Wait what, I was told she only big in North America :chick2:

You are from Philippines? Is she really that popular among public there?

Yup. Everyone knows Taylor Swift here. Her music was inescapable during my highschool days (that was during her debut and Fearless era). And her music is the type of music we glorify the most, music that deals with heartbreaks, romance, friendzone, ghosting, unrequited love, etc. We call them "hugot" songs. Hugot means pull out in English. Taylor is really good at pulling out words from her heart, life experiences and mind through her music so we don't have a choice but to stan.

My dearest friend moved here to Canada with her family from the Philippines when she was in her teens and we immediately bonded over Taylor Swift when we met. She has told me for years how big Taylor is over there and how she misses belting out all her songs with all her friends growing up :monkey:

And then..? :rip:Just an fyi, she dominates Spotify, YouTube and AM in Philippines at the same time. Her google search data there is like 10 times bigger than any other international artist. Everyday there are different songs from her went viral on Philippines TikTok, even Only the Young became a generation anthem during the election.

Tell us you don't know what an eco-terrorist is without telling us you don't know what an eco-terrorist is

I swear to god Gaga doesn't deserve fans like you

She really is that big here. Even radio stations play a lot of her songs. I heard Delicate and The Very First Night last week.

isn’t Fearless also the 2nd “official” best selling album by a solo female western artist there?

I always found it odd that they stan her so hard considering the Philippines stans all the big vocal divas (and has so many Mariah wannabes) and people have been murdered for singing karaoke off-key there:psyduck:

Don't do this sis, Gaga's stream would have better figures then.

Philippines is a hub for K-Pop and Taylor. Swift domination. We've been knew. From the locals to the OFWs.

You don't know what that word means, do you :rip:

she also has 30 songs charting on AM Philippines and she gets more monthly YouTube views from Philippines than from the US :rip:

I don’t think any popgirl has ever utterly dominated a country like Taylor and Philippines :jonny:

and she still doesn’t tour there…

Yep truly her biggest market by a landslide. If u thought she was big in the US well over there shes 10x bigger. I fear when Asia adapts to streaming even more. Taylor will be even more untouchable :rip:
